Automation audit questionnaire

A short questionnaire on my site. Claude reads your answers and writes a personal breakdown of what to automate first, then two more emails follow over the next week.

The problem it solves

The hardest part of automation is rarely the build. It is knowing where to start. There are usually ten things that could be automated and no obvious answer for which one comes first.

This workflow answers that question for anyone who fills in the questionnaire, without needing a call with me first.

What I learned building it

Building the questionnaire was the easy part. The real work was in n8n: deciding what to ask, how to read the answers, and what kind of output is useful to someone who has never thought about automation. A generic list of ideas does not help anyone, so getting the output specific took iteration.

It is also a good picture of a Build-size project: a custom assessment tool, AI-processed output and a follow-up email sequence working together.

How it runs

One Claude call turns the answers into a personal breakdown of where automation would have the most impact, and where to start.

Every link is tested
Resource links in the draft are checked before anything is sent. A broken link is replaced by a safe fallback.

The first email lands in their inbox while the questionnaire is still fresh in their mind.
